The vaccines were forced through coercion, and were contrary to informed consent. This was bad if the vaccinations were 100% safe but they carried the small serious/ life-threatening risk that makes coercion more egregious. The benefit to patient was no longer just the treatment but whether are able to travel, go to a nightclub, etc. Informed consent was lost in a haze of rewards for the vaccinated. It was worse because it is a simple step to move from seeing unvaccinated as individuals to treating them as a threat. Once this step was taken then the unvaccinated become hazards to the vaccinated. Activities become harder for those not having the vaccine, leaving many with no choice but to take it regardless of how they feel about it. And without choice how can there be consent? It was the thin end of an unpleasant wedge because once we allowed the principle that society can have a direct stake in what is in the best interest of an individuals health, where do we stop?

I hope this serves as a lesson. Fear, pressure, and genuine belief in our system’s leaders led many to judge those who were brave enough to stand up strong. I'm amazed at how quickly people forget the venom in which they spoke to us for declining an optional jab. Next time, let's not shame those who choose to think critically instead of following the crowd, because we were trying to save lives too.

Looking on the bright side, it's a good lesson learned not to be influenced by others over your personal health matters. You need to satisfy yourself that you're making an informed choice with any kind of medical intervention.

It was made quite clear vaccines didn’t stop you from catching COVID. Vaccines help to build up your immunity to a virus, so your body will fight it off more easily if it affects you. I’m still don’t understand why people cannot grasp that concept.

Not to me. I understood the vaccine did not stop you catching the virus but if you did the effects were milder as the vaccine builds immunity meaning less people becoming very sick and overwhelming hospitals. It was an individual choice whether to take it or not unless working in the medical field, where it was mandatory, but then that decision was ultimately overturned.

You didn’t have to buy into anything. Boosters were offered and people could choose to take up the offer or not. The vaccines were never mandatory unless you were travelling to certain countries or worked in the health service or social care. The government gave guidance and encouraged vaccination

to the public as it provided protection from getting serious ill and overwhelming the already delicate health service. With staff shortages in the NHS, the government could not afford widespread sickness, hence the vaccine was mandatory for healthcare workers. They needed them to be fit for work. People need to think for themselves and do their own research.

You needed to have the vaccine here just to be in certain shops or to cross the borders.

Most NHS staff were public facing throughout the crisis, had covid multiple times and would be immune anyway.

If people took the vaccine against their own judgment that’s on them. It was never mandatory which means you had a choice. I’m not sure where you were getting your information from but we were not told vaccination would prevent transmission of Covid or stop the spread. At least this is being talked about and acknowledge. Here in Canada they are still denying any serious side effects and mandating at many hospitals the "safe and effective" to earn a living. My husband over 3 years later a highly trained and specialized Anesthesiologist is still not able to return to his job and earn a living as he knew from day 1 these jabs were a very bad idea. Sadly he was one of only a handful of doctors who stood up and did the right thing but we are all still suffering. Thank goodness now that hateful Trudeau is going things may improve for us.

My husband (survived) a heart attack two weeks after having the Astrazeneca. All medical professionals refused to discuss any links/ connection at the time. However, we are sure the vaccine caused it. I would love to know if there is anywhere you can go to escalate this. Our GP practice denies any connection, as does the Hospital he was admitted to.

It annoys me when I see governments putting compensation schemes in place. It isn't government money, it's taxpayers' money that will fund these schemes. Meanwhile, the pharmaceutical companies that created this stuff will keep the vast profits they made from it. It is the biggest scam perpetrated against the ordinary taxpayer of all time probably. All Covid vaccine profits made by the pharma companies should be pooled into a compensation scheme. They still won't be any worse off than they otherwise would have been. We, the taxpayer, should not have to pay a penny for this and end up massively out of pocket.

I think there's something in the jab that helps people forget the misleading and coercive tactics used to get people to sign up.
